FarmVille 2 Tropic Escape-Mardi Gras Mambo Official Guide

It’s carnival time on the Island and our favorite spring queen, Calla, is back with a special surprise! Mardi Gras is around the corner and every Island is gearing up for 10 days of delicious food, revelry and a merry parade on the nearby Mardi Gras Island to conclude the festivities.

Team up with other Island resorts to contribute to the festivities and build a fabulous float fit for a king! Indeed, the King of the Carnival, Rex Krewes, will be riding through the island on the winning float.

If you are at least Level 9, you will get the opportunity to join the “Mardi Gras Mambo” event. You will need to force-close the game to see the update, or even reboot your device.

Start the event by tapping on the Carnival Dock that is placed near the beach.

Mardi Gras Mambo is a Leaderboard event, in which you will be competing as Teams to complete Team Goals as well as Personal Goals. To complete these goals, you need to earn Points by crafting supplies that will be used to build the festive float.

The supplies are sent by Carnival Tugboats. Each Tugboat will indicate if there’s a particular item that is currently in-demand at Mardi Gras Island. Send in-demand supplies within the time limit to earn Bonus Points so you can achieve your goal faster!

There is a waiting time for the Tugboat’s return. To check its progress, tap on the Mask tab. You can add more Carnival Tugboats by tapping on the Buy button.

When the Tugboat has returned, you can claim your rewards by tapping on each of them.

After you have sent out your first Carnival Tugboat, the island resorts will then be divided into 3 teams: Mystic Crew, Reveler Crew, and Gallant Crew. These teams will compete in building the best Mardi Gras parade float. Your resort will automatically be a part of one of the teams.

Each team will send crafted in-demand items for the Mardi Gras festivities. To help your team win, deliver supplies and earn Points!

The Points you earned will be added to your Personal Goals score. If you reach all your Personal Goals on time, you’ll earn the carnival royal pupper Po’boy to help out in your resort for 10 days!

Every Point you've collected also contributes toward your Team’s score.

The Carnival Bandstand is a temporary landmark where you can search for ingredients to make festive supplies.

Temporary Guides: Rex Krewes and Calla

You can rent Rex Krewes and/or Calla as temporary Island Guides to help you out during the event. They will give you a higher chance of finding rare ingredients at the Carnival Bandstand and other Landmarks.

Note: Rex Krewes and Calla are temporary Island Guides, and will only stay on your farm for the whole duration of the Mardi Gras Mambo event.

Temporary Storage: Storage Deck

All the Mardi Gras supplies will be stored in a separate Storage Deck so your Boathouse and Silo won’t be clogged.

You can upgrade it with Lifting Hooks to hold more items. Lifting Hooks can be earned by sending Tugboats to Mardi Gras Island and by sending Island Guides into the Sunken Garden.
