How can I find answers to my questions?

Greetings Chef!

Do you have questions about Star Chef, like how the Restaurant works or how to get more friends in the game or maybe how many likes you can have for your Restaurant?

You've come to the right place! Here, we've provided answers to all the most frequently asked questions on Star Chef!

We try to answer your most common questions in our FAQ, so please take a moment and type your question into the search bar. Maybe we already have the perfect answer to your question in one of our articles. 

However we know that sometimes there might be cases where you need to get in touch with us directly.  

You can do so by tapping on "Help" (a question mark icon) located at the right bottom of the game screen. Once done, click on 'Contact Us' located at the right top of the screen to compose a new mail, our support staff will get back to you as fast as they can.

How can I save my game with Game Center?

Keep your game progress saved by connecting your restaurant to Game Center.

Game Center on your iOS device will keep your in-game progress saved.

Note: Game Center will only support one game per account, meaning you can only have one restaurant per device.

How to connect it?

Locate your device settings and scroll down until you see Game Center

Click on Apple ID

If you already have an account, log in. If you don't have an account create your own Apple ID

Return to the home screen and launch Star Chef

If the connection was successful, you will see a banner in the upper part of the screen that says "welcome back _yourname"

How can I play with my Facebook friends!

If you have a Facebook account, you can play with all of your Facebook friends who also play Star Chef!

To connect to Facebook you simply need to follow these steps:

Tap on the ‘Chef’s Circle’ icon at the bottom right corner of the screen

Tap on Invite Friends.

Out of the two invite options choose Facebook Connect

Choose your Facebook friends to send out invites 

Tap on Next and Send.

What do I need Coins for?

Coins are one of the most important currencies in the game. You need coins to buy new Plots, Appliances, Chefs, Decors, Tables and more. You can also use them to buy items at the Food Truck and order Joe’s Food service. 

Where are all my cooked dishes stored?

All your cooked dishes are stored in the Steam Table. To store more dishes, you need to upgrade your Steam Table.

How do I level up fast?

The best and most fun way to quickly level up is by simply playing a lot! 

Actions like serving customers, harvesting crops in the Backyard etc. will give you Experience Points (abbreviated as XP)! The more XP you have, the more Appliances, Crops and items you will have at your disposal - making you a better chef as you progress in the game! 

So, keep serving customers, harvesting those crops, producing those goods and sending those orders.

Can I reset / restart the game?

The Star Chef support team can help you reset/restart your game once you reach out to them via 'Help' within the game.

Please note that all your game progress including history of in-app purchases made will be lost and we wouldn’t be able to recover the same for you. So make a request to reset/restart your game only if absolutely necessary!

How do I force quit Star Chef on iOS?

To force quit Star Chef on iOS, follow the steps below:

1.     Double-click the Home button on your device to see your most recently used apps.

2.     Swipe left or right to locate Star Chef.

3.     Swipe up on Star Chef’s preview to force quit it.

How do I force quit Star Chef on Android?

You can follow the below procedures to force quit the game.

How can I transfer my game from an iOS to an Android device and vice versa?

The only way to transfer your game from an iOS device to an Android device (or vice versa) is by using a Facebook account.

Here’s how you do it:

Start by connecting your game to Facebook on your iOS device. Let’s call it Device A:

1. Play Star Chef until Level 5

2. Go to ‘Chef Circle’ present at the bottom right corner of the game screen.

3. Login to Facebook

 To transfer the game to your Android Device, let’s call it Device B, first download the game on the device, and follow the steps below:

1. Play Star Chef until Level 5

2. Go to ‘Chef Circle’ present at the bottom right corner of the game screen.

3. Login to Facebook with the credentials used on Device A

You’ll be given the option to load your saved game once you reach. Confirm, and you’ll be ready to go! 

If you want to play the same game both on iOS and Android devices, you can only do so if your game is connected to Facebook.

How do I transfer my game from an old iOS to a new iOS device?

You can transfer or play your game on multiple devices with Game Center or Facebook. Here’s how you do it:

A. Transferring with Game Center

Start by connecting your game to a unique Game Center account with Device A:

1. Go to ‘Settings’ app on your device

2. Find and select Game Center

3. Sign in with your Apple ID (or create one if needed)

4. Make sure you are NOT sharing an account with somebody else

Return to the Home screen and launch Star Chef.

You should be prompted with a “Welcome back, your name” popup.

To transfer to Device B, first download the game, and follow the steps below:

1. Go to ‘Settings’ app on your

2. Find and select Game Center

3. Enter the credentials used on Device A

4. Launch Star Chef game

How do I transfer my game from an old Android to a new Android device?

You can transfer or play your game on multiple devices with Play Games or Facebook. Here’s how you do it:

A. Transferring with Play Games

Start by connecting your game to a unique Play Games account with Device A:

1. Launch the Play Games app

2. Sign in with your gmail ID (or create one if needed)

3. Make sure you are NOT sharing an account with somebody else

4. Return to the Home screen and launch Star Chef.


To transfer to Device B, first download the game, and follow the steps below:

1. Launch Star Chef

2. Go to ‘Settings’ in the bottom right corner of the game screen

3. Find and select Play Games present at the top

4. Enter the credentials used on Device A

5. Launch Star Chef game

 You’ll be given the option to load your saved game once you reach Level 6. Confirm, and you’ll be ready to go!

B. Transferring with Facebook

Start by connecting your game to Facebook on Device A:

1. Play Star Chef until Level 5

2. Go to ‘Chef Circle’ present at the bottom right corner of the game screen.

3. Login to Facebook

To transfer to Device B, first download the game, and follow the steps below:

 1. Play Star Chef until Level 5

2. Go to ‘Chef Circle’ present at the bottom right corner of the game screen.

3. Login to Facebook with the credentials used on Device A

What are the jars, baskets, pans, etc. that I collect from gift boxes on the road?

They are the storage expansion that are required to upgrade your Steam Table,Vegetable Racks and Refrigerator to increase their storage space.

Upgrading the Steam Table helps you store more cooked dishes; likewise, upgrading the Vegetable Rack and Refrigerator helps you store more vegetables that you've grown in your Backyard and ingredients you buy from Store.

You can check the number of expansion items available by following the steps below:

 1. Tap the Vegetable Rack/Steam Table/Refrigerator

2. Tap the 'Upgrade' button

3. A dialog is put up displaying the expansion items you need to upgrade.

Where do I find Food Cutter Appliance?

Food Cutter is an Appliance in the kitchen. You can prepare recipes like Leafy Mix, Farm Mix etc. You can buy the Food Cutter by following these procedures;

Go to Shop which is located at the left bottom of the screen.

Click on Appliance, first icon from left.

Select Food cutter, third Appliance from the list.

Why do my friends at lower levels have more Tables, Decors and Appliances than I do?

Number of Tables, Appliances and Decors in the Restaurant are not tied to a level number but to different in-game elements unlocked in the game. Your friends at lower levels may have unlocked elements like the Garden Restaurant and Pool Party at an earlier level than you did thus earning them more tables, décor and appliances than you.

What do the 2 values for Goodies represent?

Goodies available in the game are displayed at the top right corner of the game screen.

The Goodie value at the top reflects any excess Goodies that are earned via Gifts, Rewards, Tips, Bonuses and in-app purchases. They can be accumulated without any restriction on threshold and are used only once the Goodies displayed at the bottom are depleted.

The Goodie value at the bottom are goodies that are instantly available for use. These goodies are replenished in time and max out at the threshold value defined.
