Happy Hacres H5-FAQ

Dear Farmers,

We heard there are many doubts and concerns about the launch of the H5 Version, so here is a detailed note to answer all your questions.

 Without further ado, let us introduce the Happy Acres H5 FAQ! 

✔️ What Does “H5” Mean?

H5 stands for HTML5.  As many of you already know, Adobe Flash Player will not be supported by Facebook within a short amount of time. To solve this problem, we will apply HTML5 technology to the game to allow everyone to play without using Flash Player.

✔️ What is the H5 Version?

We have created a whole new game for the H5 Version. This game is identical to Happy Acres (Global and Asia Version) in terms of game content and functions, but it runs on a different 

 Why did we decide to create H5 in a separate server? 

👉 Due to the very high number of players, it would be risky for the main game database to switch directly from global to the HTML5 version: if there was a bug, it would affect all players. So we will update the global version after we fix all bugs or errors that we find in the H5 version, because it is smaller, newer and easier to fix. 

👉  We're worried that putting all players in a single server may cause too much overload for the server of the global version. There are a lot of farmers here, and we want to make room for everyone!!  That's why we separated the two versions into their own servers!  This way we can ease the server load and provide a better gaming experience for more farmers

✔️ What is going to happen to the old farms in Happy Acres Global and Asia Version?

 🚜🚜🚜🚜  We will migrate them to HTML5.

👉 Does this mean your old farm will be merged with your new farm in H5 version, and all farms will be moved to the same server? No. This merely refers to a change in the game code, players will not be able to notice any difference in their game experience at all.

👉 Is my old farm on Happy Acres going to be lost or deleted? No, we can guarantee none of this will happen.  All farms are safe and sound, and you will be able to play your old farm on Happy Acres Global. However, this does not mean that Happy Acres Global Version and Happy Acres H5 version will be merged together: the two servers will keep working independently of each other. 

✔️ As a player, what options do I have?

You can decide to open a new farm in the H5 version and play that new farm separately from your old farm. This is up to you, as you can also keep playing the game on Global Version for as long as you like! 

You can decide not to open a new farm in H5, and keep playing your old farm in the Global Version. In this case, you will not notice any differences (except maybe performance improvements) when we move your farm to H5, and you will be able to play without using Flash Player. However, please keep in mind that even if your farm will be changed to fit HTML5 technology, this does not mean that the Global server will be merged with the H5 server.  As stated above, both game versions will exist without interfering with each other - they will be kept separate to ease server load and offer a better gaming experience for everyone. 

✔️ What is going to happen if I decide to open a new farm in the H5 version?

 If you decide to open a new farm on H5, you will start your game from scratch, beginning at Level 1. However, this will not affect your farm on the Global Version in any way (let us state again, the two games are separate and work independently from each other). You can go back to your old far at any time by clicking on the original game URL: ▶️https://apps.facebook.com/happyacres

Both games will coexist on your Facebook profile, and you will be able to play both games separately (if you wish to do so). 

👉 Will I lose my neighbors? 

As stated above, the farm in the H5 version will start from scratch, hence you will start with 0 neighbors. If you wish to add the same neighbors you had on the Global Version, you can simply send them a request, and you’ll see them on your H5 farm after they have accepted.

Is my old farm in danger? -------> No.

Does opening a new farm in H5 mean losing my old farm in the Global Version? -------> No.

If I open a new farm in H5, will it be merged with my old farm in the future? -------> We currently have no plan to merge the Global and the H5 version.

Can I play in H5 and in the Global Version separately? -------> Yes.

Can I decide to keep my old farm in the Global Version only? -------> Yes. 

 Can I transfer items or neighbors from my old farm to my new farm in H5? ------->  No. 

If I am playing in the Global Version, can I add neighbors from the H5 version? -------> No, unless they have a second farm in H5.
