In harmony with the Summer Festival spirit, all deeds, wishes, and endeavors must be good and noble. A simple act of kindness during the festival just might save Marie. And who is Marie? Here's who she is.
In the River of Oblivion that flows through Cadang Thicket lives the saddest nymph in the world. Legend has it that she used to be an ordinary young woman named Marie after the Marinia, for her eyes were the same royal blue color as these rare flowers. Marie, who lived in the great city of Strongford, was gorgeous yet very shy. Her looks and shyness made her uncomfortable around men and unable to hang out with other girls. Yet she really wanted to make friends! She often fantasized about having fun with other young women her age and sharing her deepest secrets with them.
A few girls did eventually befriend her. Marie was overjoyed! Little did she know that they just wanted to make her disappear for good, as they were envious of her beauty.
In preparation for the Summer Festival, the women decided to pick some pure white lilies in Cadang Thicket to decorate the festive table. They picked the delicate flowers one by one as they strolled along the riverbank.
Everything was fine up until the moment when the young women suddenly rushed toward Marie and plunged her into the water. Since a single gulp from that river causes immediate oblivion, the poor woman immediately forgot who she was and where she lived.
Ever since, Marie the sad nymph has dwelt in the river, waiting for someone to help her remember. The blue Marinia might heal her memory, but where would one search for these rare flowers?
Surely those who remember the story of the miraculous rescue of Wilheim, a small yet welcoming town, will figure out how to help the poor young woman recover her memories.
