FarmVille 2 Tropic Escape-The Great Ocean Cleanup Official Guide

An oil tanker has capsized in the ocean, spilling thousands of gallons of crude oil into the water and posing a terrible risk to the marine ecosystem. Team up with the neighboring islands to clean up the spill and save the ocean! You’ll earn rewards as you go through the cleanup!

If you are at least Level 9, you will receive a pop-up invitation to join the “Great Ocean Cleanup” event. You will need to force-close the game to see the update, or even reboot your device.

Start off the event by tapping on the Loading Dock that is placed near the beach area.

The Great Ocean Cleanup is an event in which you will form with other island resorts and compete against other teams to win team rewards. You will also have a set of Personal Goals to complete. To do this, you’ll need to earn Points by crafting supplies. The supplies are sent to the oil spill site using Tugboats.

Each Tugboat will indicate a special supply item that is currently in-demand at the oil spill site. Send these in-demand supplies within the time limit to get twice the points when the tugboat returns.

Your Tugboat will take a certain amount of time to travel to the oil spill site and back. To check it’s progress, tap on the First tab. You can buy more Tugboats by tapping on the Buy button.

When the Tugboat has returned, you can claim your rewards by tapping on each item.

After you have sent out your first Tugboat, you’ll join one of the 3 teams. At this stage, all the Points that you have earned, including the points to reach your first milestone will be added to your team’s score.

Each team will be sending supplies to the cleanup effort via their Tugboats. To help your team win, deliver supplies and earn points!

Note: This event will take place over 3 rounds of a few days each. Teams can win exciting rewards at the end of every round!

Personal Goals Rewards

Your personal goals have extra rewards waiting for you if you finish them within the time specified.

Milestone 1: Straw, Mallets, Lifting Hooks and Storage Parts

Milestone 2: Quicksand, Gems, Lifting Hooks and more level-based items

Milestone 3: A harvestable Earth Pond decoration, Quicksand, Lifting Hooks, Treasure Keys and more

Milestone 4: Bubba the guide for 10 days, Gems, Treasure Keys, and more

Team Rewards

The team rewards you can win depend on your team’s rank at the end of each round. With every round that a team wins, all members of the team get to add extra days to how long their reward guide stays. Your team will also win unlimited Sunshine.

1st place

+3 days added to the reward guide (You have to win the guide by completing your 4th personal goal. The extra time will be added automatically.)

Unlimited Sunshine for 24 hours

Temporary Landmark: Relief Rock

The Relief Rock is a temporary landmark where you can search for ingredients to make supplies.

To explore the Relief Rock, you will have to sink a new craft - Rescue Treats that can be crafted at the Sushi stand. You can send guests and guides to search the Relief Rock for ingredients to make supplies.

Temporary Guides: Caspian the Merman, Clareta Ice, and Bubba

You can purchase Caspian the Merman and Clareta Ice as Island Guides to help you out during the event. Caspian the Merman is better at finding rare ingredients at the Relief Rock, while Clareta Ice is better at searching for ingredients at existing island landmarks.

Bubba is the reward guide that you can win by completing your 4th personal point milestone. You’ll get to keep him for extra days if your team wins one or more rounds!

Temporary Storage: Storage Deck

All supplies will be stored in a separate Storage Deck so you don’t have to deal with clogging up your Boathouse and Silo.

You can upgrade it using the Upgrade Parts that you have earned from your returned Tugboats or from other places around your island like the Sunken Temple.
