Pearl's Peril-Iris’s Eyes Tutorial

1. To play, you need to find Butterflies in scenes. 

It takes one Butterfly to unlock one round of Iris’s Eyes

2. After you have collected 10 Butterflies, you will stop finding them.

After that point, they will not appear in the scenes. Any time you use them to play a scene of Iris’s Eyes, they will begin to appear again to get you back up to 10.

3. Iris’s Eyes unlocks after Chapter 6. If you’ve already completed the game, you can begin any time after you find your first Butterfly.

These scenes are on top of the normal game. The core game remains the same, with these new scenes layered on top.

The Pearl you know and love is still intact, and there is no penalty for skipping Iris’s Eyes scenes… except you will not receive the stunning island decorations as a reward!

 There is a time limit.

When you run out of time, Iris is overwhelmed and you will need to use another Butterfly to begin again. Other than that, however, there is no downside to the clock running out. You can still get the rewards, no matter how many times you try a scene.

 Iris’s Eyes has a unique story that is ongoing.

The story of Iris as she works to restore the Vitality of Artemis Island will be updated with each act. As a reminder, Iris is a journalist and the best friend of Pearl. She is also a psychic, although she doesn’t understand her abilities.

7. By restoring Artemis Island, you get amazing island decorations.

The island has been suffering, and many of the natural features have faded away. But with your help, they can return in the form of dazzling animated animals and natural structures to change the shape of the island.

How to Play Pearl’s Peril’s New Feature

Pearl’s Peril has introduced an entirely new game style with its latest feature: Iris’s Eyes. You will need quick reflexes and a sharp eye to capture these prizes in this one-of-a-kind challenge. Let’s explore how to start playing Iris’s Eyes… whether this is your first time playing Pearl’s Peril or your sixth!

How to Begin Iris’s Eyes

Your adventure starts as soon as you find a mysterious Butterfly while playing scenes in Pearl’s Peril. You will receive it as a reward by completing scenes. If you have played through Pearl already, you can begin whenever you find your first Butterfly. If you are new, you will be able to begin after Chapter 6. Once the first Butterfly is collected, Margaret’s memorial will glow, drawing Iris’s attention to it.

As you progress, you discover that Margaret is hoping to restore Vitality to Artemis Island. Iris and her gift of sight can surely help! Thanks to her psychic abilities, Iris is able to see the world around her differently. This new way of playing focuses on finding objects through their shapes while Iris keeps channeling her focus.

Timed Challenges

Better be quick, as Iris must find more and more objects before she becomes overwhelmed and loses her focus. This can be seen at a glance in her Focus Bar. There is a clear indicator to keep an eye out for. The Focus Bar will start to close in and change color, as seen below. Iris losing focus. When the countdown reaches zero or the Focus Bar closes in on any of the objects, Iris will lose her focus and become overwhelmed. A great Adventurer like yourself will be able to master these scenes in no time.

How to Win

For each scene that you clear, you’ll earn blue Badges, and with each blue Badge that you earn, you’ll restore Prestige to a specific part of the island. In this initial instance, you are restoring Margaret’s memorial. This Prestige will help new Adventurers progress faster in Pearl’s story, unlocking scenes faster.

In addition, mastering a scene by completing the five blue Badges for each scene available in Iris’s Eyes, new Adventurers will be able to master scenes in Pearl’s Peril faster, by activating the 2x Badge booster in Pearl’s story. This will allow players to earn the regular yellow Badges in Pearl’s story twice as fast! Are you ready to see the world of Pearl’s Peril through Iris’s Eyes?
