The Household-Timed Quest:Mariachi Are In Town

Part 1 

Meet singer Gonzalo - click the help button then accept on the next screen, then place singer Gonzalo on your site

Feed 24 bulls on your own site

Eat 5 “Los Muertos” cake (you have been getting these in place of your pancakes each day / if you X out the pancakes instead of accepting all.   

Reward: 100 XP + Drummer Alfonso -  generates 100 XP and 15 musical pitaya tree seedlings once in every 20 minutes. 

Part 2 

Help singer Gonzalo

Prepare the drummer for a gig – he was the reward from part 1

Pick 34 neighbor’s tomatoes -wilted tomatoes will not count.  Please plant new tomato plants for your neighbors. To help singer Gonzalo you need: 

8 Sombrero -shoo wild boars away from your site 

10 Hair pomade – feed your neighbor's pet boars – craft in the forest keeper's house   

12 Spray for vocal cords – take care of pear trees on your site   

To prepare the drummer you need: 

7 Tuned maracas – feed regular pigs on your site 

8 Red scarfs – shoo your neighbor's wolves away 

Reward: 200 XP + Guitarist Jorge – generates 115 XP and a tipsy trio once in every 40 minutes. 

Part 3 

Put up a Mariachi gig x 2 – click on singer Gonzalo to launch the gig.  While the gig is going on you will meet gig-goers on your site – you will get nice prezzies from them 

Prepare the guitarist for the gig 

Harvest musical pitaya trees x 35 – chat to drummer Alfonso to get pitaya tree seedlings.  These trees only grow during Mariachi gigs and they vanish when they are harvested.  Drummer Alfonso is available every 20 minutes – you cannot apply a booster to Drummer Alfonso Note 

You get 15 pitaya trees each time you chat to Drummer Alfonso 

You can chat to Drummer Alfonso every 20 minutes 

So you need to chat to Drummer Alfonso 3 times to get the 35 trees needed 

The trees only grow when a Mariachi gig in running 

Harvesting a pitaya tree will generate 15 XP and 4 food units. 

Once Harvested the pitaya trees will disappear

A Mariachi gig only lasts a few minutes 

Once a gig has run you have to wait 4 hours before you can start another one.  

My advice is to chat to Drummer Alfonso and get the trees needed and plant these on your site before you start the Mariachi gig.  You may want to plant more trees but only harvest the 35 needed. To start a Mariachi gig you need: 

3 Song compilation – feed your neighbor's boney hens – available from the market 

4 Microphone - harvest corn crops on your site 

The gig only runs for a 15 minutes and then singer Gonzalo will rest for 4 hours   – you cannot apply a booster to singer Gonzalo To prepare guitarist Jorge for the gig you need: 

6 Guitar picks – feed your neighbor's adult bulls 

9 Fancy buckles – take care of asters on your site – you can buy asters from the flower pavilion 

12 Mexican guitars – harvest bamboo on your site 

Reward: 300 XP + Trumpeter Pablo - generates 2 energy units, 125 XP and a shiny brooch once in every 2 hours.    

Part 4 

Get a shiny brooch – you need to chat to trumpeter Pablo – before you can chat to him you need to prepare him for the gig 

Chat to the Tipsy Trio x 4 – chat to guitarist Jorge to get a Tipsy Trio for your site.  Before you can chat to the Tipsy Trio each time you have to harvest 40 pitaya trees on your site.  Once you chat to the Tipsy Trio they will disappear.  You then need to chat to guitarist Jorge again to get another one and repeat the process. 

Chat to your neighbor's mariachi x 24 

To prepare Trumpeter Pablo for the gig you need: 

10 mariachi belts – harvest candy pumpkins, candy hats and candy skulls on your neighbor's sites – note you will not see these on your own site also when you clear them from your neighbor's site they will not be there when you return. 

14 Trumpets – take pictures of wild birds on your site – wild birds may appear when you are harvesting fruit trees on your site 

16 Special-occasion cufflinks – take care of super candle trees on your site – you can buy super candle trees from the memory keeper's house on Miguel's ranch 

Tipsy trio: when you chat to them you get 80 XP, a detuned maraca and a surprise gift.

Reward: 400 XP + Lucky certificate

Part 5 

Lure in winged melodicats x 12 – you may find these on Miguel's ranch - use the search function to see if there are any on Miguel’s ranch when you visit.

Find elements from the Mexical cusine collection x 6 – feed winged melodicats on your site to get the elemements of this collection 

Feed your neighbor's melodicats x 46   

To lure in a melodicat you need:

1 Detuned maraca – chat to the tipsy trio on your site 

2 Shiny brooch – chat to Trumpeter Pablo on your site – Trumpeter Pablo is available every 2 hours 

3 Pitaya fruit – harvest pitaya trees on your site 

Winged melodicat generates 3 energy units and 120 XP with each feeding, as well as an occasional random element from the Mexican cuisine collection. Selling price: 3500 coins. 

Reward: 500 XP + Dancer Carmelita -  generates 6 energy units, 160 XP and an air kiss once in every 15 hours.
